What is Adventure Box Photo Booth?

Adventure Box Photo Booth is a professional photographer in a box, the life of the party, an open-air photo booth extravaganza! Unlike a traditional enclosed claustrophobic photo booth, Adventure Box Photo Booth has a massive wall-sized backdrop which can fit HUGE groups people all in one shot. All Adventure Box Photo Booth experiences include a cheerful and energetic booth butler who is there to help bring out the best photos in your guests through the Adventure Box Photo Booth. Plus, they help make sure you don’t get any of those awkward “how does this thing work” photos (although those are some of our favorites).  Once the group chooses props, they have 3-4 snaps taken, they have the ability to send themselves a digital text or email copy and receive a 4 x 6 or 2 x 6 print on the spot in 10 seconds!  It’s SUPER fun!

Guests always rave about how insanely amazing the quality of images are that come out of this magical little box. When it comes down to it, all we really want is to ensure that guests have a blast! How many people can fit in one photo?

On average Adventure Box Photo Booth snaps moment of around 2-8 people, but we’ve seen up to 20 squeeze in to a group shot. Consider it an adventure.


Can kids be in the booth?

Yes, we love kids in the booth!  It is important however, for their safety, that anyone under the age of 12 have an adult present with them in the booth at all times. Young kids may need to be held by their parents in order to meet the height range of the camera.


What is a “backdrop”?

In other words, it’s the background you’ll see in your picture. You get to choose a black or white one of ours for FREE, supply your own or use a wall, or you can ask to create a special customized one for your event. Our most popular are our upgraded sequins backdrops that will knock your socks off starting at $100 add-on.  Here’s a full gallery of our backdrops.


Will there be someone from Adventure Box Photo Booth at the event?

Yes, there will always be a professional, energetic and engaging Adventure Box Photo Booth butler at your event ensuring that everything runs smoothly and that guests have the time of their life.


What are the space/power/wifi requirements?

For the full Adventure Box Photo Booth experience, we require a wifi or hotspot connection for social media, email and SMS guest digital images*, at least an 10 ft. x 10 ft’ x 10 ft tall. square on completely level flooring (no gravel, uneven ground, etc), at least 8ft. of height, and 1 dedicated 3-pronged outlet within 15 feet. That said, we can modify the Adventure Box Photo Booth setup to fit into much smaller spaces if absolutely necessary, but why would you want to limit ADVENTURE?!?
* If no wifi is available, images will be saved and uploaded to our Facebook page and your online gallery after the event for guest to view, tag and share.


What kind of professional equipment does Adventure Box Photo Booth use?

Adventure Box Photo Booth uses top-notch Canon DSLR cameras with a nifty professional dye-subliminal photo printer calibrated specifically for that camera. Dye Sublimation printing doesn’t print in dots like that of inkjet printing; so it provides a much higher photo image quality. In addition, each print has an over-coating protective layer that is water and fingerprint resistant and can make the photo last up to 50 years under normal environments (or about 10 seconds in the hands of a two-year-old).


Can I go green?

Yes! Having an eco-friendly event? Our “Digital Only” option is a photo booth without paper prints. You’ll save $50 off the cost of your rental and save the environment at the same time! All of guest’s favorite social sharing features will still be enabled during the event and all the digital photos will be delivered after the event as usual.


Does Adventure Box Photo Booth travel?

Adventure Box Photo Booth is located in Bend, Oregon and all events located within Central Oregon are free (Redmond, Sisters, Powell Butte, Sunriver, Terrebonne). Other areas can be discussed with an added fee.


Does Adventure Box Photo Booth have insurance?

Of course! If your venue requires a copy of our liability insurance certificate just let us know!


How early will Adventure Box Photo Booth arrive to my event?

Adventure Box Photo Booth will make sure to arrive early enough to be completely set up and tested before the photo taking begins. This is usually about an an hour before the party begins.  If you would like us to setup early, no problem!  There is an idle-time fee (as the booth butler is always on duty) of $75/hr.


What do the prints look like? What size are they?

Each print is customized to fit your specific event or theme! We’ll come up with a custom graphic on the print and match the colors to compliment the background. Although Adventure Box Photo Booth can print 2×6 strips, we tend to favor 4×6 inch prints as they’re bigger, bolder and hold up to wear and tear better! 2×6 strips are great for guestbooks, 4×6 prints are great for the refrigerator and show the pictures larger!  We offer an extra set of prints ($100) if you would like a gift box with all the prints to take home!  See sample prints in our full gallery.


So we had a blast at our event! Now what?

All of your AWESOME images will be in an online viewing gallery where you can share, get the FREE download of all your images, or even purchase prints. Images will also be posted to a Facebook gallery on our page at: http://www.facebook.com/adventureboxphotobooth


Does Adventure Box Photo Booth have props?

OH DO WE?!? Props are our favorite part! Without props guests can be very camera shy, but throw a unicorn head in the mix and boy do guests go bonkers! Need custom props to fit your event or theme? Contact us, we’d love to make it happen!


Can you provide a guestbook?

We can! Guestbooks are one of our most popular package add-ons. They are $125 and include an album,  color pens and the booth butler manages the guests as they complete this fun keepsake.  With the booth butler managing the process, it’s smooth, organized and guests get their print copy after they write their message to ensure a full book without photos placed upside down!  🙂

Can you do outdoor events?

Yes, outdoor events can be a lot of fun! HOWEVER, weather and lighting are always a consideration when shooting outdoors. If we are using a cloth backdrop setup, we almost always need to be set up against a wall to protect against wind. Also, if rain or high winds are at all a possibility, we would need to setup in your backup location inside to protect the booth. The booth butler will make the final call but as the booth cannot be moved during an event, it’s important that it gets setup in a location that works for the full event coverage. Lastly, the ground where we’re setting up needs to be level and even, we don’t want Adventure Box Photo Booth or any of the guests taking a fall!  We have used the booth with a generator (please inquire about power requirements) however, a dedicated outlet is preferred.
